Caregivers and admins
Your AideBook account was created by your agency’s invitation. To delete it, do either of these:
- Ask your agency to remove you. Your sign-in stops working straight away.
- Ask us: in the AideBook app, open Settings → Delete account, or email hello@aidebook.app from the address you sign in with. We confirm the request came from you, let your agency know, and delete your account within 30 days.
Agency owners
To close your agency’s account and delete its data, email hello@aidebook.app from the owner’s sign-in address. Tell us if you want an export of your records first. We confirm the request with you, then close the account and delete the agency’s data within 90 days. Removing yourself isn’t possible while you’re the agency’s only owner, because the agency’s records would have no one responsible for them.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in: name, email address, phone number, password hash and every session on every device.
- Your membership in the agency, and any invitations sent to your email address.
- For a closed agency: all of its clients, care plans, schedules, visits, signatures, timesheets and training records.
What the agency keeps
Visits you documented, timesheets and training results are part of your agency’s business records, which agencies are usually required by law to keep. When only your sign-in is deleted, those records stay with the agency and still show your name where you signed or clocked in, but nobody can sign in as you. Ask your agency about their retention. Security logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted.
Unsent work
If the app shows something still waiting to send, connect to the internet and let it finish before you log out or delete the app. Work that hasn’t reached the office can’t be recovered once it’s removed from the phone.
On your phone
Logging out of the app erases everything it kept on that phone: the offline copy of your schedule and clients, the sign-in session and any exported PDFs. Deleting the app does the same. See the privacy policy for details.
