AxisCare alternative

AxisCare Alternative for Small Private-Pay Agencies

AxisCare is an all-in-one home care platform: scheduling, GPS-based EVV, billing, payroll and more, for agencies from a handful of clients to enterprises. AideBook is narrower on purpose, built for small private-pay, non-medical agencies that need visits documented, signed and on the timesheet.

Which is right for you

An honest fit check.

AxisCare is likely the better fit if you…

  • bill Medicaid, VA or insurers for claims and need EVV
  • want billing, invoicing and payroll in the same system
  • run a large or multi-location agency, or a franchise
  • want a client and family portal

AideBook is likely the better fit if you…

  • serve mostly private-pay or long-term-care-insurance clients
  • want caregivers documenting visits without GPS tracking
  • have caregivers in places with poor signal
  • want timesheets and aide notes that print like your paper forms
  • want one plan with everything in it, set up in an afternoon

The difference in one paragraph

AxisCare tries to run the whole agency, from referrals to billing. AideBook focuses on the stretch between “a shift happened” and “the hours are right on payroll”: scheduling, the caregiver’s visit, the client’s signature, compliance checks, timesheets and in-service training. If you don’t bill Medicaid and your biggest headache is paper notes and Friday timesheets, the narrower tool is usually faster to adopt.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

For a small private-pay agency that mainly needs scheduling, visit documentation, signatures, timesheets and training, it can be. AideBook doesn’t do Medicaid EVV, claims billing, invoicing or payroll processing, so agencies that rely on those in AxisCare would need other tools.

No. AideBook doesn’t request location access. A visit is verified by clocking in from the scheduled shift, completing the Plan of Care and the client’s signature on an attestation of hours. That suits private-pay visits, which fall outside the federal EVV mandate.

Neither publishes a price list. AxisCare quotes by agency size and number of clients. AideBook is one plan with everything included, quoted on a 20-minute call during early access.

Yes. Setup is four steps: add a client, publish their Plan of Care, invite a caregiver and record the first visit. During early access, we’ll set up your first clients and caregivers with you on the call.
